Accessing internet in domain setting
Using Win 7 Pro on Dell Latitude D630. I joined my domain and completed all
Windows updates. I can access internet as long as I am logged in as administrator,
but when logging into the domain as any other user, IE9 remains when blank.
I have switched from a static ip address, to a received DHCP address but to no avail.
Am I overlooking something? Many thanks!

By saying admin do you mean Domain Admin or a Local Admin to the PC? If this was a clone/image did you make sure to rename the new PC?

So when you are in Computer Management are the users accounts populating in Computer Management (Local), System Tools, Local Users and Groups, Groups in one of the sub groups such as Users?

All user accounts have been established and work well with our WinXP Pro
computers. With our new Win 7 Pro laptops, our domain folders show up in
"My Computer" and can access them. But with IE9, the home page appears
on startup, and then freezes. Won't go to any other site. Dismayed!

Sorry took so long to reply, I changed jobs mid last month and the transition has been hectic.
This sounds like login scripts set on the active directory side. They may need re-written to be compatible with both OS. I do not know enough on this though to help. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

Have you tried Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab, and use the reset to original state button? Another thought, make the non-admin user an admin temporarily, open Internet Explorer for a minute or three, reboot, and reset to user privileges again. This might reset it as well.

Hi, I am experiencing the same issue where I am not able to access the internet with regular users but domain and local admin work fine. I am using free web hosting from www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Web+Hosting+Free. Were you able to figure out a work around to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
